Our Fudjie® range brings all the texture of a fudge, without the dairy. This plant-based wonder also has a variety of additional benefits, including:

  • soft fudge-like texture,
  • vegan suitable.

By mixing with other inclusions and toppings such as freeze-dried raspberry pieces, coconut pieces or cocoa nibs, you can create a premium, indulgent feel. There’s also a palm-oil free version available.

VIBRANT COLOUR AND FLAVOUR

Andrew Lofthouse, Business Development Manager at OV Confection by Design in Harrogate, where the team developed this unique product, explains why Fudjie® is so different: “A traditional fudge would be created by combining butter and sugar which gives the wonderful caramel flavour we all love”.

“But with a caramel Fudjie®, we’re adding the caramel colour and flavour to a colourless base, made from sugar and other types of vegan-suitable fats. That means we can also add other flavours directly to that base and they shine through, without the caramel flavour masking them.”

The current off-the-shelf flavours available in our dairy free Fudjie® range are:

CREATING A NEW VEGAN PRODUCT

Fudjie® products can be put to work in several vegan-friendly applications*, from a topping or inclusion to soft serve ice cream, to creating your own range of out-of-the-bag vegan-friendly snacks when large pieces are covered in dark chocolate or mixed with dried fruit and nuts.

Other applications include:

  • Yoghurt inclusions
  • Drink toppings

Fudjie® can also be used to replace the fresh fruit element of a product, giving it a longer shelf life.
